Rahda’s consuming craving and passion for Gabrielle’s touch makes this a scorching short story of the preoccupation preceding fulfillment. I love reading stories from a submissive’s point of view, they’re always filled with desire, need and if the author writes it well, respect. Cait Braxton does a very good job of both, as well as building and pacing the story to its satisfying conclusion. Now I wish she’d write about the mysterious dominant, Gabrielle, for I see great promise in another wild and erotic tale!

When Black Lace announced that they would no longer publish erotica, some people began to panic. I even read one article that was titled – “Black Lace and Nexus books: Is quality erotica a thing of the past?”

Well, of course not! There's plenty of quality erotica, and you'll find Wet and Wild by Cait Braxton and published by Noble Romance to be one of them. Noble Romance is an e-publisher. Wet and Wild is lesbian erotica, and it is well written, sexy and enjoyable from beginning to end. Rhada, our narrator, is preparing for her rendezvous with Gabrielle, and she holds our attention right away as she describes her anticipation.

Unfortunately, an employee asking for time off at the last minute and horrible traffic combine to make Rahda late, and she knows she will pay the price when she arrives.

Wet and Wild is a erotic story of anticipation, a chance to explore what draws Rahda to Gabrielle and keeps her coming back for more. The story is filled with descriptions, a few of which I felt were a bit much such as, "An unnamed organ below my belly clenches and send out tentacles of lightning to the center of my pussy." As this story focuses on Rahda's excitement and anticipation, we don't really get a chance to learn much about Gabrielle except through Rahda's eyes, but Rahda's emotional connections are well developed.

For me, the most interesting part of the story was the contrast between seeing Rahda at her day job, where she is in a position of power, and when she submits to Gabrielle. This was nicely done within the story, providing a complexity to the character that is so often the case for submissives. The D/s element of the story is very light, involving mostly control and some lashes with a flogger. Overall this was a nice, emotional story with some kinky sex about an intense connection between two women.
